Monday 26th February 2007

This weekend started off well with finishing work at 9:10AM and watching Oxford win 3-1 at Tamworth. Terraces are a great place to watch football as they generate a unique atmosphere but they are not ideal when you are 5 ft 5 ("and a half"). We stood at the front but, because Oxford had sold their allocation of tickets, it was rather full and people had to stand on the area marked "Do not stand here". The police came to clear them out the way but their hats got in the way of seeing Rob Duffy slot away the penalty to make it 2-0.

Tamworth 1-3 Oxford

Sunday was my chance to use up my 21'st birthday present from my sister. So on a wet, cold and windy day we headed over to an airfield near Oxford. Tara was disgusted to see they haden't cleaned the cars for us... We got 6 laps driving ourselves with a co driver and then got shown how to do it properly with 1 lap of the instructor driving. Although I was innitialy dissapointed not to be in the Subaru Impreza I cheered up when I saw that one instructor had a Rover 25! The Ford Focus was, obviously not in the same league as a Mazda MX-5, but it was still fun getting it sideways.

Tomorrow will be spent helping my cousin move to Oxford from Liverpool (I'm rather jealous). Then I have booked annual leave untill Tuesday so I will be relaxing! Tara's Gran is unwell at the moment so, in the words of Joss stone, big love to you all.

Yes it snowed and I was ill but I somehow managed to work a six day week. I had to abandon the car at the bottom of my hill for a time though as even the gritter was sliding down it. I am starting to realise how impracticle an MX-5 is now, which is great!

Clarkson rules.

I think the shop that I have been working on, for Oxford United, is soon to be published and I have also been doing lots of clever modifying of galleries to allow for paypal payments but that account has been suspended for the time being! My uncle has also asked me to phone someone about a web site for a guest house but I have been too busy.

I have been listening to albums by The Fray and The Klaxons which I would highly recommend, for what it's worth.

Don't click play if you are easily offended.

Tara and I are looking forward to going to Venice in March and we are hopefull of being lucky in our bid to get tickets for the Roland Garos tennis in Paris!

I hope you had a good Valentines day, Tara cooked a lovely 3 course meal and we are going on champagne sunrise balloon ride over the city of Oxford!
